What Do We Do?
The Governing body is currently made up of 10 people from all areas of the school community. The Chair (Co-opted Governor) oversees the meetings consisting of the Vice Chair (Co-opted Governor), Clerk to the Governors; Headteacher; 1 x staff Governor; 7 x Co-opted Governors, 2 x Parent Governor and 1 x LA Governor.
The role of a Governor, whilst voluntary, is very rewarding and has an impact upon the day-to-day running of the school. For example, the school build last year had to be discussed and implemented not only by Somerset County Council but also the Governing body who oversaw that budgets, build timetable and safety of the children were all met.
