The No Outsiders program is an inclusive education framework used primarily in UK schools to teach diversity, equality, and community cohesion. Founded in 2014 by Andrew Moffat MBE, an assistant headteacher from Birmingham, its central ethos is summarised by the motto: "All Different, All Welcome". The scheme aims to ensure that no child or community member feels marginalized or excluded. 

Core Framework and Legal Foundation

The program uses British Law as its starting point, specifically framing diversity through the Equality Act 2010. It provides structured lesson plans to cover the characteristics protected under the Act, including: 

• Age
• Disability
• Gender reassignment
• Race
• Religion or belief
• Sex / Gender
• Sexual orientation

How the Program is Delivered

• Picture Book Curriculum: Teachers deliver the program from Early Years (EYFS) through Year 6 using a curated list of over 35 age-appropriate children's books. Stories like And Tango Makes Three (about same-sex penguins raising a chick) or 10 Little Pirates explore differences, empathy, and belonging naturally. 
• Interactive Assemblies: School-wide messages are reinforced through regular  assemblies that respond to real-world themes of diversity and global citizenship. 
• PSHE Integration: The program supports the school’s Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education and Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) curricula. 
• Shared Language: Rather than forcing teachers to give personal opinions, the curriculum gives children and staff a neutral, scaffolded language to debate and disagree respectfully
